Frederick Street Apartments, Te Aro, Wellington
Homes of Choice is thrilled to announce the availability of 27 brand new apartments in central Wellington.
The apartments are part of a larger social housing development project which aims to provide permanent housing with wraparound support for those most in need.
The building contains 75 apartments, 27 of which have been earmarked for those with disabilities. This includes three fully-accessible units on the ground floor, and an additional 24 units on floors 3, 4, 5, and 6.
Criteria for Frederick St Apartments
To be eligible for these new apartments, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- On the MSD Housing Register
- Over 18 years of age
- Able to live independently with minimal support
The apartments will be available from the first week of November. In the case of high demand, the tenant selection will be based on the following principles;
- Need based on rating on the MSD housing list
- Level of disability needs and suitability of the home available
- Client Support Funding – either supported through IF, supported independent living (SIL), or Choices in Community Living (CiCL) funding contract.
- Support Provider
The Homes of Choice Tenancy Manager and the Spectrum Care Supported Independent Living team will be part of the tenant selection process.
In cases where clients with disability needs are not available, other clients from the housing list will be considered.
